10 Illegal Buildings at Bukit Duri Dismantled

About 100 personnel of Jakarta Satpol PP demolished as many as 10 illegal buildings under the pedestrian bridge (JPO) Jalan Abdullah Syafei, RT 12/09, Bukit Duri, Tebet, South Jakarta, Monday (22/12 ). The demolition was held due to the building stood on waterways.

"Today we dismantle 10 illegal buildings under JPO Jalan Abdullah Syafei. They used it as business and dwelling," said Mahludin, Tebet Sub-District Head.

1,500 Buildings on Apuran Riverbank Demolished

Previously, added Mahludin, the sub-district and urban village sides were socializing to the citizens. Not only that, a warning letter to demolish the building by themselves also sent. "We have to demolish the buildings because they ignored our warning," he added.

The building debris was directly transported by truck in order not to be used by the owners. "We involved three trucks transporting the debris," he stated.

Most of building consists of boards and timbers immediately dismantled by 100 personnel (Satpol PP) and the janitor. In order not to be used again by the offender, all demolition debris is transported by truck immediately. "There are 100 personnel were deployed. The building materials was taken by using 3 trucks," he said.

Later, the land at Ciliwung riverbank will be plastered by Sub-dept. of Public Works for Water Management.
